A chapter from my memoir manuscript Slipstream: A Woman Among Whales has been published in the “Taking Liberties” Anthology by Cutthroat magazine. The chapter is called “Mothership.” Aside from being ecstatic about the publication of a memoir chapter, I’m giddy being in such good company in these pages. The non-fiction section of the table of contents reads like a list of my writing heroes and teachers I’ve learned from and continue to admire.

I’m full of gratitude for this step toward the ephemeral act of emerging as a writer.
